These Boots Are Made For Walking

Life has been hectic lately! Friends birthdays', parties, boyfriend came home, etc., so I've been unable to blog these past few days. I finally switched to the iPhone last week and I'm addicted, so maybe that's another reason why I haven't blogged haha, I added an instagram widget on the right side of my page so you can stay updated with me by that as well, if you have one feel free to follow me!

I felt inspired to do another clothing collage, I got good feedback on my last one and I just wanna show my style more until I can get ahold of a better camera for style shoots. These collages are so fun to do anyway! This time I was aiming for a bohemian chic look, something you can wear to a park and a house party. An outfit you can be stylish and comfortable in, the best of both worlds.

I love denim I think it's always a nice touch to a casual outfit, whether it'd jeans, a jacket or in this case a top, which is a Soul Cal Deluxe Denim Boyfriend Shirt. There isn't a variety of necklaces that'd look good with a denim top so therefore I went with a Black Nicole Farhi scarf, and although this outfit would most likely be worn in the Spring/Summer, I chose black because its slimming, and the snood scarf would compliment your neck. Maxi skirts are in it to win it right now, there elegant, simple and gives off the illusion of long legs and what girl doesn't want that? I thought this Rachel Zoe Stretch Silk Long Skirt was a different choice of bottom then what most people would choose for a denim top. It's a beautiful soft pink and gives a little twist on this casual outfit. If you haven't realized, I'm obsessed with leopard print so of course to give this outfit some flava I threw on a Warehouse Leopard print hair belt, it makes both the top and bottom pop more and pulls it together. I'm a huge jewelry fan, I feel naked without it on! But just like everything else, there is such a thing as excess jewelry, which can sadly ruin an outfit that could've potentially been good. So I went with just a bracelet with this outfit, this Skulls and Studs bracelet matches both the scarf and the bag. It's simple and with the rolled up sleeves on the top, it won't be hard to miss. You can never go wrong with a brown leather bag, especially in the Spring/Summer, and frills are still alive and well so I went with a Rebecca Minkoff Mini Savannah bag, just to die for! Another amazing perk of wearing a maxi skirt is that almost every type of shoe can be worn with it (almost), I love the way maxi skirts flow so I figured these Margiela Seamed Boots would be perfect, the bootie style would be noticed when that maxi skirt gets some wind under it ;)!

Wasteland's Designer Archive

One of my favorite websites is Wasteland, they always have the finest designer clothes, new and used for reasonable prices. The latest designer archive is stunning! They have everything from Marc Jacobs to Stella McCartney. From 121 pieces to choose from, including shoes, there is something for everyone. I wanted to pick my favorites, which was nearly impossible because I'm in love with almost everything, three days later after first seeing the collection, I somehow narrowed it down to 9 pieces. As eclectic as my style usually is, I can never go wrong with a simple one piece outfit. Simplicity will never go out of style. As you can see my choices vary from prints, fur, color, etc. but the beauty of the more simpler outfits are breathtaking.

Zigzag from left to right: Alexander McQueen leather cropped pants, Geoffrey Beene cocktail dress, Balenciaga silk ruffle dress, Anna Sui tweed and fur jacket, Casmari destroyed cashmere sweater, Bottega Veneta lattice wasted dress , Halston Heritage pleated dress, Moschino floral print pants, and Ann Demeulemeester printed top.

Spring Meets Fall

As I've stressed before, I'm a warm weather baby! This cold doesn't cut it for me, but I have no choice but to deal..which is why I bought a super cute down feather black parka with fur trimming on the hood ;) ANYWAY, as much as I love the warm weather and the colors people wear in the spring/summer, I was born in September and I'm truly a Fall baby at heart. So with this clothing collage I wanted to mix a bit of Spring and Fall which is why I went with mostly bold colors, to give it that kind of color-blocking effect.

The bow tie is a suede bow clip by American Apparel, the yellow "heroine" blouse is by Weekday, the black and white striped skirt is H&M, the platform sandals are by Pierre Hardy, the orange sandy shoulder bag is by Marc Jacobs, the watch is MARC BY MARC JACOBS, style MBM1154 (link unavailable), the earrings are Asch Grossbardt mutli-stone earrings, the bracelet is MARC BY MARC JACOBS Katie double wrap leather bracelet and the ring is TIFFANY & CO. 1970s gold ring with ivory and onyx.

Sephora Wishlist

This past summer out in Long Island I got my makeup done by the lovely people at Sephora and it turned out so beautiful, clean and fresh. I wear makeup but always try to not over-do it, maintaining a clean all natural look is my goal. This makeup just did the job for me! Sadly I never got around to it and it's still sitting on my online wishlist. My dilemma with buying this makeup is my skin-tone, it is so weird! I get so dark and golden in the summer and I turn pale as the snow in the winter so I really don't know if this makeup is season friendly. I'll never know if I don't try it though. Putting urgency on this purchase STAT.

1st Style Shoot

Not your average trip to Barnes And Noble with my good friend Karen (http://purplelipstiick.blogspot.com/). We were set on getting good pictures but had a million elements against us that day it seemed, a decent camera, decent lighting, wind and an overly crowded Barnes and Noble randomly at 11am. But we ended up making out alright with a few really good pictures, her and I are both pretty damn happy. She's gonna be my photographer for the most part by the way! She's a gem, I love her.

I have a problem with over-dressing, I'll be the girl at a t-shirt release party in a dress. No literally, this has happened before. I know, shame on me! But as comfortable as some girls may be in Uggs or sweatpants and a tee is as comfortable as I am in a dress, tons of jewelry and sky high heels (despite my 5'11 height).

My necklace is Aldo, my studded bracelet and rings are F21 (besides my right hand ring, its H&M), my top is F21, my skirt is ASOS, leggings are H&M, jacket is American Apparel and boots are Sheplers. Everyone really is into the whole combat boot look but you can never go wrong with genuine leather cowboy boots! Every girl should have a pair, something you can rock in any weather.
